Since the Government’s lockdown announcement on 4th January 2021, we want to reassure all of our patients that we will be remaining open for chiropractic care and to remind all of our patients visiting the clinic of the steps being taken to reduce risks at Backworks.

The latest Government advice encourages chiropractors to stay up-to-date with all public health recommendations, and it remains vitally important to us to monitor the situation closely, prioritising patient safety and wellbeing at all times.

Our chiropractors continue to exercise their professional judgement to determine whether it is appropriate to see a patient. Online chiropractic consultations are a suitable way of deciding whether a patient needs to be seen face-to-face. It is also an alternative for those that are unable to attend the clinic or those that may prefer not to.

Face-to-face consultations at the clinic are only being carried out where there is minimal risk of virus transmission and we continue to implement multiple protocols seeking to ensure that the clinic is a safe environment for both staff and patients. As well as undertaking a thorough risk assessment, we are following all Government and NHS guidelines in order to continue offering face-to-face consultations.

Our chiropractors are wearing all appropriate PPE, including masks, disposable gloves, disposable aprons and visors for face-to-face appointments, and are fully trained, following the NHS guidelines on PPE. We are also taking into account appropriate social distancing guidance.

All decisions relating to chiropractic treatment during the pandemic continue to be underpinned by clear communication with the client. All patients will be screened prior to their appointment in relation to COVID-19, to seek to ensure it is appropriate to carry out a face to face appointment. For all clients booked in for a face-to-face appointment at the clinic, we will require you to read and sign our COVID-19 consent form.

We encourage you to read our patient notice relating to COVID-19 and hope that you all stay safe. We would also like to thank everyone for their ongoing support during these challenging times; it is always very much appreciated.
